I created this book from the place many tarot beginners start: a beautiful deck, a small guidebook, and a feeling that the few short meanings are helpful — but not quite enough.

When I first began, I would pull a card, read the little meaning from the booklet, and still feel there was more the card was trying to say. So I have included clear starter meanings at the beginning of this book, giving you a simple way in if you are brand new to tarot.

The early sections are grouped clearly, so you can quickly find the Major Arcana, Cups, Pentacles, Swords, Wands and court cards without needing to search through the whole book.

Then, once you are ready to go deeper, the book opens up the cards in a fuller way. It explores the Fool’s Journey, symbolism, numbers, colour, suits, elements, card characteristics, astrology, decans, tarot correspondences, and a little tarot history.

At the end, you will also find a good selection of tarot questions and spreads so you can practise, build confidence, and begin developing your own relationship with the cards.

This is not just a list of meanings. It is a structured beginner’s guide that starts simply, then helps you understand the cards more deeply as you grow.
